I will buy you a beer if you can tell me what this is...
No cheating by installing google and then googling it...
Tomorrow I will let you know what it is and then properly cite it since it is too cool just to snag.

It looks like an old disintegrating satellite wizzing past a large planet.
Tell him what he's won, Bob!
Or maybe, the Wicked Witch of the West?
Or a tiny bug hit the telescope lens?
Or, a piece of dirt on a wheel of cheese on a dark countertop?
Well? Tell her what she's won, Bob!
All good guesses but only the first was close. Damn Cynic, i am gonna buy you a beer for persistence.

It's the international space station shilloutted by the sun.
Yes Herc that is exactly what it is. But, if you click on the photo to open it up you will see a little triangle near the ISS. That's the shuttle Atlantis that has just undocked from the station. Super neato!
Lots of man made objects pass in front of the sun but cant be seen because they are so small, including the hubble.
To be fair, Q was the first to guess correctly so it looks like I owe everyone a beer. I will pay up tomorrow...
