According to this Time article as mayor of Wasilla Alaska, Gov. Palin "asked the library how she could go about banning books."
umm...what?
The librarian, "Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor."
Seriously, fucking banning books because they had inappropriate language? I really hope this story isnt true because i would hate to think that someone with such a closed mind could actually be in charge of something as important as the nation.
What also worries me is the McCain vetting of Palin. Did he know about this incident when he asked her to be his veep? If not, what else doesnt he know about. If he did know, I am left to wonder if these are ideals that McCain shares.
Ugh.
